About Dr. Jeffrey DeClaire
Dr. Jeffrey H. DeClaire is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience and is one of the very few orthopaedic surgeons in the world who specializes in the knee. He is one of the innovators of minimally invasive outpatient partial and total knee replacement and was the first surgeon in the world to perform an ACL preserving total knee replacement. He is also the only surgeon at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital to perform computer navigated Robotic Knee surgery.
Dr. DeClaire remains at the top of his field by working with orthopaedic surgeons both locally as well as internationally in the development of new and innovative surgical techniques and procedures for partial and total knee replacement surgery. He is a leader in developing the minimally invasive (MIS) procedure for partial and total knee replacement and has been involved in the development and design of numerous partial and total knee implants and instrumentation, including the most recent development of a total knee system which allows for the ability to preserve all ligament structures including the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). Dr. DeClaire’s philosophy is to find effective solutions that use the least invasive approach possible in preserving and restoring the normal knee anatomy, and normal knee function.
