About Dr. John LaMacchia
John LaMacchia, MD, is an award-winning, board-certified orthopedic surgeon serving the communities in and around Rochester, Michigan. As a co-founder of the DeClaire LaMacchia Orthopedic Institute, he specializes in diagnosing and treating spinal injuries and disorders, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and vertebral compression fractures.
Dr. LaMacchia completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He went on to earn his doctor of medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit. He served his internship and an orthopedic surgical residency program at Wayne State University Detroit Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience in complex orthopedic trauma. Dr. LaMacchia continued his education with a rigorous spine surgery fellowship in Louisville, Kentucky, and Detroit.
Dr. LaMacchia is dedicated to educating and empowering his patients with education about their bodies and orthopedic conditions.
